U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Sean M. Salene, director and Master Gunnery Sgt. Matthew L. Sewell, senior enlisted adviser, both assigned to Headquarters Marine Corps Communication Directorate, address the winners of the 2018 Visual Information and Excellence in Communication Awards (VIEC) hosted in Atlanta, Ga., Aug. 22, 2019. Each year Marines compete in a number of categories from Graphic Design, Photography, Videography and Communication disciplines. The VIEC awards program is open to any Communication Strategy and Operations Marine and unit. The awards recognize commands and individuals for their significant contributions and accomplishments in historical documentation and communicating Marine Corps priorities to audiences worldwide.
