Inspired by the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and his love for the outdoors, Air Force Lt. Col. Rob Marshall created the first American military mountaineering team. From 2005 to 2013 — between combat deployments as a special operations pilot — Marshall led airmen to the summit of every continent’s highest peak, ending with the successful summit of the highest point on Earth, Mount Everest.
