Recruit Training Regiment Commander Col. Christopher O'Connor explains the training Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island recruits were able to accomplish while evacuated to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany Ga., due to Hurricane Dorian.
MCLB Albany received over 6,000 personnel who evacuated the depot due to Hurricane Dorian Sept. 2-4. The majority of evacuated personnel will return to the depot Sept. 6, 2019.
Recruits at MCLB Albany conducted a variety of training events to include close order drill, academic classes, land navigation, martial arts training and infantry patrolling techniques.
