Just south of Yuma, Arizona, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is supporting the Department of Homeland Security, and Customs and Border Protection, by erecting nearly 22 miles of 18- and 30-foot-tall border barrier.
The five-segment project is being constructed simultaneously in three different sections, or “headings.” Shown here, Headings Three and Two are slated for completion late October, 2019.
