PEARL HARBOR (Oct. 1, 2019) Chief Mass Communication Specialist Xander Gamble, the Pearl Harbor chief initiation heritage committee lead, discusses the importance of heritage and tradition being upheld by chief petty officers. Sailors who are selected for promotion to chief petty officer go through six weeks of initiation training, to include leadership and physical training, to become better suited in their new roles as senior enlisted leaders.
