The Polish armed forces and 1st Infantry Division (Forward) hosted an unveiling ceremony to officially announce the permanent presence of a U.S. Army Division Forward Headquarters in Poland following an agreement signed by U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Poland President Andrzej Duda in New York City on September 23, 2019. Keynote speakers included the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, Georgette Mosbacher, the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Błaszczak, and the Deputy Commanding General of the National Guard for U.S. Army Europe, Maj.
