Soldiers of the 638th Aviation Support Battalion, currently supporting aviation operations in U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility, along with the 244th Combat Aviation Brigade's Task Force Warhawk, improved their convoy protection capabilities with gunnery skills convoy live-fire training at the Udairi Training Range Complex near Camp Buehring, Kuwait Oct. 13-17, 2019. During the multi-day event, trainers with the 638th ASB, also known as Task Force Taz, emphasized the importance of proper target identification, gun-truck team communication and target destruction. The 638th ASB, is currently deployed to the Middle East and supports the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve.
