The 77th Infantry Division Reserve Officers Association sponsored the 43rd Annual Ecumenical Memorial Service Nov. 3, 2019, on Fort Totten, New York. The service, held at the Ernie Pyle United States Army Reserve Center, honored deceased Soldiers from the 77th ID and the 307th Infantry Regiment. Remarks were given by several distinguished guests to include New York State Senator John C. Liu, representing the 11th District, and retired Maj. Gen. William Terpeluk. The memorial service concluded with the laying of the memorial wreath at the center’s 9/11 Memorial, honoring the six Army Reserve Soldiers who sacrificed their lives that day, including five who were performing their duties as members of the New York City Fire Department.
