The Oklahoma National Guard helped support the 2019 Agriculture Forum held throughout Oklahoma City and Stillwater, Oklahoma, November 6-8.
The Oklahoma National Guard helped support the 2019 Oklahoma-Azerbaijan Agriculture Forum through the National Guard’s State Partnership Program.
The program, which paired the OKNG and the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense in 2002, kick-started the Oklahoma-Azerbaijan cooperation.
The Forum’s mission is to facilitate business-to-business, partner-to-partner, and farmer-to-farmer connections between the two countries that would lead to knowledge and technology transfer, productivity increase, as well as the development of soft and technical skills among farmers.
Members of the OKNG continued support throughout the Azeri visit alongside Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States Elin Suleymanov, Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov, and many more representatives with both the U.S. and Azerbaijan.
As this year’s Forum ends, our OKNG partnership with Azerbaijan will continue to grow, helping impact Oklahomans economically, in-trade and education.
