U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, participate in service-level training events to include Mountain Training Exercise (MTX) 1-20 Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC), Bridgeport, Calif., and Marine Air Ground Task Force Warfighting Exercise (MWX) 1-20 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms Calif., from Oct., to Nov. 2019. The battalion took advantage of training areas at MCMWTC, learning a variety of tactics applicable to their role as the adversary force during MWX. MWX is a force on force exercise designed to challenge the Marine Air Ground Task Force, other U.S. forces, and allied nations’ militaries against a peer adversary in a free-play environment in order to assist the forces with meeting current and future real world operational demands.
