U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, work alongside game wardens to launch an RQ-20 Puma unmanned aircraft system in support of Operation Buck Rogers on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 3 2019. Operation Buck Rogers is used to count wildlife population numbers on Camp Pendleton and the use of Pumas is a cheaper and more effective alternative to complete the task. The wildlife population numbers help base officials measure the environmental impact of Marines training aboard the installation. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl. Anthony Alvarez)
