The Coast Guard and Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego launched the Blue Technology Center of Expertise on the Scripps Oceanography campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in San Diego, January 24, 2020. The center’s mission is to create a pipeline for rapid identification, evaluation and transition of new blue technologies into Coast Guard capabilities and to function as an official conduit to the technology sector.
