POZNAŃ, Poland- Approximately 20 Soldiers currently in Poznań, Poland, were inducted into the Noncommissioned Officer Corps as part of a ceremony held in January 22, 2020, hosted by the 330th Transportation Battalion.
The NCO induction ceremony is a celebration of the newly promoted joining the ranks of a professional noncommissioned officer corps and emphasizes and builds on the pride we all share as members of such an elite corps. The ceremony should also serve to honor the memory of those men and women of the NCO Corps who have served with pride and distinction.
The ceremony included an explanation of the sergeant’s watch, the symbolism of the boots and the lighting of candles. After the NCO charge was recited, the induction of the newly chosen noncommissioned officers became official. The ceremony concluded with the NCO Creed and Army Song.
Service members from the following units inducted new NCOs: Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 330th Transportation Battalion from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 165th Movement Control Team from Fort Riley, Kansas, 266th Movement Control Team from Fort Lee, Virginia, 632nd Movement Control Team from Fort Campbell, Kentucky and 1st Infantry Division Forward.
