ARABIAN GULF (Jan. 31, 2020) U.S. Naval Forces Central Command’s Expeditionary combat force, Task Force (TF) 56, held training exercises to maintain readiness and interoperability between Mark VI patrol boats and other assets in the Arabian Gulf. These events highlight many core competencies that the Coastal Riverine Force provides in support of U.S. 5th Fleet operations. CTF 56 is responsible for the planning and execution of expeditionary missions including coastal riverine operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
