A team of Spanish military doctors and nurses provided free medical treatment and prescriptions to villagers as part of a Medical Civil Affairs (MEDCAP) effort during FLINTLOCK 20 in Tainaz, Mauritania, Feb. 25, 2020. The MEDCAP was a joint effort between U.S. Civil Affairs, U.S. Special Forces, Spanish Special Forces, Mauritanian Special Forces and the Mauritanian government. Flintlock is an annual, integrated military and law enforcement exercise that has strengthened key partner-nation forces throughout North and West Africa since 2005.
