    Air Force Reserve Command

Air Force Lt. Gen. Stayce D. Harris (Ret.) is portrayed in a painting unveiled at a ceremony during the Women in Aviation conference held at the Coronado Springs Resort March 13, 2020, painted by Senior Master Sgt. Darby Perrin, U.S. Air Force Reserve Office of History and Heritage. The Heritage and Combat Art Division within the Air Force Reserve Office of History and Heritage preserves a visual record by documenting Reserve Citizen Airmen and the Air Force Reserve experience and culture via paintings, sculpture, and other creative works. Harris was the first African American woman to be promoted to lieutenant general and serve as Inspector General of the Air Force within the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force in Washington, D.C. Before these accomplishments, she was the first African American woman to command an Air Refueling Wing. Harris retired from the Air Force Reserve in 2019.
