Members of the Maryland Air National Guard’s 175th Logistics Readiness Squadron assisted the Maryland Office of Preparedness and Response at their warehouse April 9, 2020 to receive and process a shipment of 50 ventilators sent from the state of California.
In coordination with the Maryland Department of Health, the ventilators will be distributed as needed to local jurisdictions and hospitals to be given to patients infected with the COVID-19 virus. These life-saving medical supplies were loaned by California in anticipation of a surge of patients in states critically impacted by the pandemic.
