Jaime Thomas with a team from the Expeditionary Medical Facility New Orleans Detachment shadows a nurse at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center before integrating with civilian medical providers in support of the Department of Defense COVID-19 response April 15, 2020. The team coordinates closely with state, local, and public health authorities to ensure the well-being of their personnel and the local population.
