#GimletPartnership
We are as strong as the relationships we foster • The Gimlet Battalion is working with CPT Nawa Pinya a Company Commander with 3rd Company, Security Battalion, Royal Thai Armed Forces. Due to the COVID-19 situation, his attendance at the Jungle Operations Training Course was postponed and he will remain with the Gimlets due to travel restrictions.
CPT Pinya's achievements with the Royal Thai military began at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy where he earned his Airborne wings and a degree in Chemistry in 2012. Upon graduation, he initially served in the Infantry where he attended Thai Ranger School and transferred into Aviation branch. He flew the UH-1, Iroquois "Huey" and the Bell 212 for six years where he deployed to Southern Thailand against counterterrorism in 2016-2017. He transferred back into Infantry and is currently serving as a company commander of over 160 Soldiers.
The Gimlet Operations Shop, with 1LT Johnson Lamwatthananon, a first generation Thai-American, are training and studying Jungle Tactics and operations with CPT Nawa and are certain he will leave here with the highly coveted Jungle Tab! Welcome to the Gimlet Ohana and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our ties during this time.
