Sgt Kyle Sprague, a stryker vehicle commander with C Company, 1st Battalion, 161st Infantry Regiment, is one of the Washington guardsmen currently activated to assist local food banks throughout Washington. More than 230 Washington National Guard members are working with Food Lifeline in the South Seattle industrial district processing, packing and preparing food for distribution to more than 300 food banks across Washington. More than 1.7 million Washingtonians are utilizing food banks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
