EAST CHINA SEA (April 25, 2020) Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), participate in a crew served weapons range aboard the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42). Marines with the 31st MEU operated machine guns on a live range to maintain combat readiness and proficiency while underway. Germantown, part of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
