Kosovo Force Regional Command East's Camp Bondsteel houses approximately 400 civilian contractors during the COVID-19 pandemic to safeguard health force protection and continue the KFOR mission. All mission essential workers tested negative for COVID-19 and were welcomed back to the installation and to work May 4, 2020. To ensure safety and security of all KFOR RC-E personnel and contractors, additional safety precautions now include restriction to the installation, unless mission essential, until the COVID-19 situation has normalized.
