"The U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) trains the world’s premier military medical force: Army Medicine. There are a lot of important dates in the school’s history, but May 15, 1920 is acknowledged as the date the Army formally approved the establishment of the Medical Field Service School at Carlisle Barracks, PA, where MEDCoE traces its origins. Please watch the centennial video featuring our MEDCoE Historian and the Army Medical Department Museum Director as they discuss the school's Genesis that began after lessons learned from World War I and the 1918 flu pandemic. Army Medicine Starts Here! (Video production courtesy of MEDVID TV - Editor Christopher Snell).
