In an effort to collect more than 8,000 units of plasma from patients who have recovered from COVID-19, the D-O-D is supporting the development of an effective treatment against this disease.
Only patients who have fully recovered from COVID-19 qualify to be a COVID-19 convalescent plasma, or C-C-P, donor.
While this is a voluntary effort, we encourage recovered patients to donate if they meet the requirements.
Evidence suggests that administrating of C-C-P to those suffering from COVID-19 helps patients build enough antibodies to fight the virus and the disease. Let’s all do what we can to continue the aggressive fight against COVID-19.
