U.S. Air Force Col. Mark Massaro, 495th Fighter Group incoming commander, assumed command of the group June 23.
Massaro is the fifth commander to lead since the 495th FG was reactivated March 8, 2013.
He leads about 800 regular Air Force members co-located in seven geographically separated squadrons, plus an additional 16 operating locations integrated with Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command squadrons.
