The Exchange has served troops in Europe since WW II and the first Exchange in Europe during World War II opened in February 1942 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to serve the first contingent of U.S. Soldiers to cross the Atlantic after the U.S. declared war. The Exchange has a storied past, much like the military, and the Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull, a West Point graduate, White House Fellow and Army brat, has a passion for Soldiers, Airmen, Veterans and military communities.
