Each year, approximately one million beach goers will visit the beaches on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. Amidst the fun and sun, there are hidden dangers swimmers need to be aware of, such as rip currents. Before getting in the water, be sure to talk to the nearest lifeguard to get up-to-date information on surf conditions and what to do if caught in a rip current.
