The flag draped casket of Rep. John Lewis departed Joint Base Andrews, Md., July 29, after a
final salute by members of an Armed Forces Body Bearer Team. The late representative will travel to Atlanta, Ga, where he will lie in repose at the State Capitol until Thursday prior to interment at the South-View Cemetery. Lewis served as U.S. Representative of Georgia’s Fifth Congressional District since assuming office in January 1987.
