The Mississippi Army National Guard is partnering with the Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport in Jones County, Mississippi and other government agencies to extend a road located at the airport's business park. Soldiers from the 890th Engineer Battalion are providing the labor to extend Superior Drive by approximately 1/3 of a mile and install culverts.
The Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport plans to market the 124 acre site to supply chain distributors with the intention of bringing more jobs to the local area.
