On Friday, July 31st C-Battery 5-5 ADA of the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade launched the first high altitude weather balloon in the Lawton/Fort Sill community. The balloon would hits its maximum altitude within eight hours of launch and land within ten miles of Paducha, TX. The balloon was tracked by two go pro, two FPS devices, flight computer with sensors and the 31st ADA BDE patch.
The battery commander C-Battery, CPT Henrickson explained, "I am extremely proud of my Soldiers and Battery and their commitment to excellence.
