Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF welcomed new apprentices on June 8th, 2020. This is the 100th year anniversary of the Apprentice Program since its 1920 inception. The Apprentice Program provides a four-year, combined work/study program, which prepares our apprentices for a career in an industrial trade through on-the-job training and formal classroom instruction with their tuition paid by the shipyard! During the apprentices’ first day, the apprentices had a unique indoctrination experience due to the shipyard’s protective COVID-19 actions in place!
