As a semifinalist in Air Force Materiel Command's Spark Tank, Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Maj. Pat Grandsaert is getting ready to pitch his idea to AFMC leaders. His idea is to use robotic process automation to accomplish data entry tasks for civil engineers. If adopted, it would mean returning thousands of man hours to Airmen so they can concentrate more on mission accomplishment instead of keyboard work. It would also mean more clean, defendable data in support of asset management. If selected as the AFMC winner, his innovation goes forward to the Air Force’s Spark Tank competition.
