Soldiers competing in the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) and Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) earn their awards at Pike Field on Fort Bragg, N.C., Nov. 17, 2020. The ESB and EFMB are badges designed to test the soldier’s physical fitness levels and proficiency in basic soldier and medical tasks, such as weapon clearing, land navigation and transporting casualties. This is the first time the ESB and EFMB was conducted simultaneously since both awards were founded. (U.S. Army video by Pfc. Jameson Harris / 22nd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment)
