Soldiers undergoing the Air Assault School complete sling load training, written and hands-on testing, as well as a 4 mile run during Phase II of the course at Lightning Academy, Schofield Barracks East Range, Hawaii, June 24 to 27, 2020. Students in the course receive training in aircraft safety, aero-medical evacuation procedures, pathfinder operations, principles and techniques of combat assaults, rappelling techniques, and sling-load operations.
