U.S. Naval Hospital Naples' Public Health Emergency Officer (PHEO), Doctor Michael Parenteau, is back with another episode of The PHEO Forum. Today he answers a common question he and his team receive, "Why can't I simply test out of Restriction of Movement, or ROM?" While we understand that 14 days isolated from others can get a bit dull, it is necessary to maintain the health and safety of our community. A COVID-19 nasal swab only tells you if you are infected on the day the swab is taken. You could still get sick within the 14 day window of your ROM period and that is why a full ROM must be completed. For more information about ROM in the Naples area, visit the EURAFCENT COVID-19 Resource Guide: https://www.cnic.navy.mil/regions/cnreurafcent/om/covid19.html
