RQ-21 Blackjack drone at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Dec. 11, 2020. Marines with VMU-2 used the drones to support Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC) during Training Exercise II . This exercise allowed MARSOC's Logistics Support Team to be evaluated prior to attaching to a Marine Special Operations Company that will be capable of supporting full Special Operation Forces operations. The RQ-21 can be rapidly deployed with a limited footprint and provide route reconnaissance, target confirmation, and intelligence gathering for unilateral and multilateral operations. VMU-2 is a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, which is the air combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Chelsi Woodman)
