    Interview Col. Bryon "Shrek" Sullivan, the commanding officer of Marine Test and Evaluation Squadron 1 (VMX-1) at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, Jan. 15, 2021. The CH-53K "King Stallion" was flown after being solely maintained and brought to readiness by Marines prior to flight. The "King Stallion" will replace the CH-53E "Super Stallion" which has served the Marine Corps for four decades and will continue providing long-range and heavy-lift capabilities as the newest addition to the Marine Corps Aviation.
