Soldiers within the 25th Infantry Division receive hands-on Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) training from the Hawaii Army National Guard on Schofield Barracks, Feb. 8, 2021. The paper-driven human resources system the Army has used for decades is on track to be replaced by the IPPS-A in December of 2021.
Over 30 HR Professionals from the 25th Infantry Division and Hawaii Army National Guard’s G-1 sections partnered Jan. 8, 2021 to train on the Integrated Personnel and Pay System- Army on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. In February, 2020, the Hawaii Army National Guard began using IPPS-A, and it became their authoritative personnel and pay system. Since then, HIARNG Soldiers have learned critical lessons on the system and its capabilities, which they shared with the 25th Infantry Division S1/G1 Teams prior to its December, 2021 fielding. It requires tremendous effort, teamwork, and participation from individual Soldiers and HR professionals for a seamless transition. Ensuring data is correct and up-to-date puts “People First” by ensuring smoother Soldier transitions, PCS moves, promotions and taking care of Families. (U.S. Army video by Sgt. Gabriel Davis)
