Yokota Air Base held a memorial ceremony on March 11, 2021, honoring the 10 year anniversary of Operation Tomodachi. Following devastating tragedy at the hands of a natural disaster, Operation Tomodachi was a disaster relief initiative that would become one of the largest bilateral operations in Japan’s history.
