Soldiers from throughout 3rd Infantry Division and Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, share their thoughts on the Sergeant Major of the Army's "This Is My Squad Initiative," in an effort to advise leaders and Soldiers and suggest ways to implement themselves. "This Is My Squad" is a leadership philosophy and communication platform to cultivate a culture of care, pride and ownership in small units across the total Army. Junior Noncommissioned Officers own the culture of small units and are empowered to care for their Soldiers and Families. Officers trust NCOs to create a work environment where Soldiers want to come to work, train, and grow. All Soldiers and Family have a squad they can be proud of.
