Our military families sacrifice a lot, especially the children, so every April we take time to celebrate Month of the Military Child. We ask military children on Fort Stewart, Georgia, a few questions to acknowledge and support our military children! Since April 1986, the Army has observed Month of the Military Child to honor the contributions and sacrifices military children make for our nation. Strengthening military children and families makes the all-volunteer Army stronger as a whole. The Army offers several programs to ensure Army children are healthy and resilient, including childcare, before and after school programs, summer care and camps, school-age services, tutoring, babysitter training, nutrition and health classes and youth sports.
