U.S. Marines with 8th Communications Battalion (8th Comm), II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, operates a AN/TRC-170 Tropospheric Scatter Microwave Radio Terminal, at Camp Davis, N.C., April 14, 2021. The device allows communication between forward deployed forces without use of satellites. 8th Comm conducted the field exercise to increase readiness and enable communications in a forward deployed environment.
