U.S. Army 1st Lt. Matt Gardner, a native of Aurora, Ohio, and medical supply officer for 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), talks about what it means to be a part of vaccination efforts in his home community. Gardner is deployed at the state-run, federally-supported Community Vaccination Center (CVC) at Cleveland State University Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Both of his parents have received vaccinations at the center as part of the federal vaccine response mission. U.S. Army North remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
