2021 Olympian Sgt. Patrick Sunderman sends some messages back home to Minnesota, specifically to the fans at the Minnesota United Salute to Freedom Game on July 3, 2021.
Sunderman was born and raised in Farmington, Minnesota and graduated from Farmington High School in 2012. Later that same year, Sunderman joined the West Virginia Army National Guard and started college at West Virginia University.
In 2016, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport psychology and transferred over to active duty as a competitive shooter/marksmanship instructor for the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit's International Rifle Team.
In 2021, this Soldier qualified for a spot on Team USA in the 50m Smallbore event and will represent the Nation at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan in July-August.
