Spartan Paratroopers from the 1st Squadron (Airborne), 40th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, conducted a joint forcible entry operation at Donnelly Drop Zone during exercise Red Flag 21-2, June 17, 2021. Red Flag is an Air Force-led, joint and multinational exercise to improve combat readiness. The Spartan Brigade is the only airborne infantry brigade combat team in the Arctic and Pacific theaters, providing the combatant commander with the unique capability to project an expeditionary force by air.
