Stramaglia, incoming commander of the 44th IBCT, during a ceremony held in Lawrenceville, NJ, July 25, 2021. During the ceremony, Command Sgt. Maj. Scott E. Mechkowski also relinquished responsibility of the 44th IBCT to incoming Command Sgt. Maj. Mark R. Rizzo. The Change of Command ceremony is a time honored military tradition signifying the trust and loyalty of a unit’s Soldiers to the unit’s colors and Commander.
