Camp Bondsteel is transitioning from generating their own power with diesel generators to drawing power from the Kosovo power grid, saving several million dollars a year. Col. Drake McGraw, Commander, Area Support Group, Camp Bondsteel, placed the first utility pole with a crane,in one of his last acts before rotating back to his home station with the Maryland National Guard, July, 28. McGraw has been working on the transition to prime power for nearly two years.
