Silvestro, the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni motor transportation operations chief, speaks about his experience regarding the Sept. 11 terrorist attack during an interview at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, Aug. 20, 2021. Silvestro spoke about how the events of Sept. 11 influenced his decision to enlist in the Marine Corps and what the atmosphere was like during the initial aftermath of the attacks.
