The event will honor outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Raymond S. Harris and welcome incoming Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher L. Mullinax as the new senior enlisted advisor to the 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley’s commanding general. Harris has served in this position for 21 months (Jan. 24, 2020 to Oct. 19, 2021) and will become the new command sergeant major for V Corps, U.S. Army. The ceremony will mark the official transition of the division's senior enlisted advisor duties and responsibilities from Harris to Mullinax. Mullinax most recently served as the senior enlisted advisor for the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade, based in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
