Air Force Special Warfare is the Department of Defense's ground combat force. The Human Performance Squadron at the Special Warfare Training Wing has put together some key strength & conditioning tips, and guidelines for pre-accession candidates. Topics covered include pre-enlistment, adaptive, general strength, maximum strength and recovery phases to help build a foundation for peak fitness to help prepare you for special warfare training.
The SWHPS is the first squadron of its kind in the Department of Defense, and its sole purpose is to provide Special Warfare Airmen and cadre embedded/holistic Human Performance, HP support. Their mission statement is to optimize the performance, durability, and sustainability of the Special Warfare human weapon system by taking an interdisciplinary approach toward the advancement of science and technology throughout the SW operator’s lifespan.
